Analytics Dashboard
By Ali Morgan, Founder and AI Visibility Architect
The Analytics Dashboard distills every signal AI Presence collects into six key performance indicators and four visualizations. Instead of switching between mention logs, outreach tables, and citation reports, you see the metrics that matter on a single screen. Every number is derived from operational data — actual placements, actual pitches, actual AI retrieval results — not vanity metrics or estimated impressions.
The dashboard updates in real time as new data flows in. When a mention is logged, the placement count increments and the authority score recalculates. When a pitch converts to coverage, the conversion rate adjusts. When a monthly retrieval cycle completes, the AI citation presence metric refreshes. There is no manual data entry. Everything flows from the systems you are already using inside AI Presence.
Score your current AI visibility baseline with the AI Visibility Scorer before you start, then watch the Analytics Dashboard track your progress as AI Presence generates content, manages outreach, and monitors citations on your behalf.
Six Key Performance Indicators
Each KPI is designed to measure a different dimension of your AI visibility presence. Together, they give you a complete picture of how your entity architecture is performing in the real world.
- Total Placements — The cumulative count of confirmed media mentions across all entity types. Includes feature articles, brief mentions, podcast appearances, guest articles, social references, and syndicated pickups. Each placement is verified and categorized before it counts toward this metric.
- Weighted Authority Score — A composite score that weights each placement by the authority of the outlet where it appeared. A mention in a Tier 1 publication contributes more than a mention in a niche blog. The weighting formula uses the outlet authority scores maintained in your outreach management system, ensuring the metric reflects quality of coverage rather than just quantity.
- Pitch Conversion Rate — The percentage of editorial pitches that result in confirmed coverage. Tracked across the full pitch lifecycle from initial send through follow-up to final outcome. This metric reveals the effectiveness of your narrative angles and your targeting accuracy. A rising conversion rate means your pitches are reaching the right journalists with the right stories.
- AI Citation Presence — The percentage of monitored queries where your entity appears in AI-generated responses. Tracked monthly across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Copilot. This is the metric that connects your content production directly to AI visibility outcomes. Rising citation presence means the authority flywheel is working.
- Entity Spread — Measures how many of your registered entities have received at least one mention or citation in the current period. An entity spread of 6/8 means six of your eight entities are generating signals. This metric identifies orphaned entities that need targeted content and outreach attention.
- Founder Visibility — A dedicated metric tracking the founder entity specifically. Combines media mentions where the founder is named, podcast appearances, bylined articles, and AI citations that reference the founder. Founder visibility is a leading indicator of overall entity authority because journalists and AI engines both use founder credibility as a trust signal.
Four Visualizations
The dashboard includes four charts that make trends visible at a glance. Each visualization is interactive, filterable by date range and entity, and exportable for reporting purposes.
- Mention Type Breakdown — A stacked chart showing the distribution of your mentions across seven categories: feature article, brief mention, podcast, guest article, social, syndication, and AI citation. This visualization reveals whether your coverage profile is balanced or over-indexed on a single mention type. A healthy presence shows activity across multiple categories.
- Pitch Conversion Funnel — A funnel visualization showing the flow from pitches sent to pitches opened, pitches responded to, and pitches converted to coverage. Each stage shows drop-off rates so you can identify where your outreach process loses momentum. If response rates are high but conversion rates are low, the problem is in the follow-up, not the targeting.
- Citation Distribution by Engine — A comparative view showing your citation presence across each of the four monitored AI engines. Some entities perform well on Perplexity but are absent from Gemini. This visualization highlights engine-specific gaps so you can investigate why certain AI models are not citing your entity and adjust your content strategy accordingly.
- Content Production by Format — A bar chart showing the volume of content generated by each of the nine content engines. This reveals whether you are utilizing the full range of content types or relying too heavily on a single format. A diverse production profile creates more signal surfaces and increases the probability of coverage across different outlet types.
The Analytics Dashboard is not a reporting afterthought — it is the feedback mechanism that makes every other feature in AI Presence smarter. Narrative Intelligence reads these metrics to score briefs. The content engines reference production data to suggest underused formats. The outreach system uses conversion data to improve journalist targeting. Every metric feeds back into the system, creating a closed loop between measurement and action.
